A California-Mexican-style restaurant, Mesa Grande Taqueria\u2019s burritos, tacos, quesadillas and nachos are prepared in-house from fresh ingredients. The restaurant opened to the public on Tuesday, Feb. 24.<\/p>\n<p>Mesa Grande Taqueria combines a fast-casual dining experience with food prepared using fine-dining techniques. While burritos are their specialty, patrons can choose from an endless list of entr\u00e9e combinations, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The restaurant\u2019s guacamole and salsa are made fresh several times a day. Mesa Grande Taqueria\u2019s menu also features beer, Red Cat wine slushies, margaritas (on the rocks) and Mexican soft drinks, as well as several homemade dessert options.<\/p>\n<p>Owner Jim Daddabbo launched Mesa Grande Taqueria in Auburn, New York, his hometown, and has plans to build a third location in Camillus, New York. The Fairport location, which faces Route 250 (Moseley Road), will be the regional chain\u2019s largest restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRochester is a thriving city with tremendous potential, and we\u2019re excited about the opportunity to bring something new and fresh to the neighborhood,\u201d Daddabbo said.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2939 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dimarcogroup.com\/dimarco\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/MG-Opening-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Mesa Grande 2\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dimarcogroup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/MG-Opening-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.dimarcogroup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/MG-Opening-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Daddabbo also demonstrates a strong commitment to operating an eco-friendly business. Containers for its burrito bowls and salads are certified compostable and a USDA-certified bio-based product. The Fairport location, which is furnished with tables and chairs crafted from reclaimed barn wood, is outfitted with LED lighting. He\u2019s also eliminated single-use beverage bottles, opting instead to install a state-of-the-art water filtration system. Mesa Grande Taqueria will sell patrons filtered water by the cup and also offer stainless-steel bottles for purchase. Any patron who purchases the reusable water bottle can come to the restaurant for free refills at any time.<\/p>\n<p>Mesa Grande Taqueria is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
